12 Mark question

Analyse how genre conventions have been used to create meaning in a media product you have studied (12 marks) One way media convention that has been used to create meaning in a media product is through characters characteristics. The way that character characteristics help to create meaning in a media product is because the character is able to determine how the scene is going to plan out. The reason for this is because if the characters are acting sneaky then the scene is most likely going to contain a horror or a scare scene. An example if this is in the opening scene of the movie 'Get Out' (2017), whilst the main character is walking through the streets there is a figure in the background who tries to stay hidden indicating that they are about to commit something to do with the main character.  - colour  - music  - lights
